Unfortunately, this mode has been removed in this new version of the game, meaning GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition does not have co-op or multiplayer of any kind. Since you can't really find an OG version of GTA SA to buy digitally, for me the best way was to use a DODI Repack version. It comes with QOL changes, downgrade, definitive edition mod, CLEO and MP preinstalled. Literally install and play. No headache.
The Steam and Direct2Drive versions of GTA:SA are not currently supported and cannot be downgraded. The -R revisions contain bug fixes and security updates. Always use the latest revision.
